Interview



What is the hardest thing about coaching?
Working with kids who are forced to be in that  sport or in general don't want to be there and are not participating.
What are the basic fundamentals of wrestling?
What's legal what's not legal. Takedowns, escapes, reversals and how points work.
What are the most important fundamentals?
Proper technique and safety.
What makes a good wrestler?
Determination, good technique and fundamentals and heart.
What makes a good coach?
Someone who knows what there doing with discipline and can understand the wrestlers.
What is a professional?
Someone who knows what their doing and it is their second nature.
What are goals?
Destination points of which we try to hit each day to make ourselves better and better.
Should athletes have goal?
Yes, because it helps drive themselves to be better everyday.
What are extra skills to have as wrestler?
Good conditioning, strength, flexibility and determination.
How many years did you wrestle?
Four years.
What made you good?
Working hard everyday in and out of the wrestling room.
What helped you improved?
Having a good coach, a good wrestling partner, and determination.
What kept you motivated?
The want to be better, the hunger to be a champion, and my family.
What difficulties have you overcome?
Injuries.
